encouraging, employability through growth, respect, excellence, accountability,
and teamwork. We are committed to empowering our student employees and staff to
create a safe and healthy community that promotes positive growth and

Talking Leaves Job Corps is an excellent
educational and vocational training program for young adults between the ages of
16 and 24. Talking Leaves Job Corps Center is one of two Indian emphasis
centers. It is managed by the Cherokee Nation for the Department of Labor.
Talking Leaves Job Corps has classrooms,
dormitories, cafeteria, recreational facilities and offices. A resident of
Tahlequah may choose to live off center and still qualify for Job Corps
scholarship.
If you are a residential student, you
will live in a dormitory setting with up to three other young people per room.
We also have an Incentive program where you can qualify for the Honor Dorm. The
Honor Dorm residents are mature enough to live in an unsupervised setting, where
they have more privileges and fewer roommates. While at the center you will be
provided with medical and dental care should you requires these services. You
will be given clothing allowances and taken shopping to purchase clothing or
personal items.
